• Bending-shear interaction of stainless steel lipped channels was investigated. FE models were developed for shear, bending, and behaviours. Sections with aspect ratios 1.5 2.0 behave under bending-shear interaction. Codified provisions are too conservative a higher level applied shear force. Proposed equations provide accurate consistent predictions. The response cold-formed channel sections has been given inadequate attention in the past. Therefore, this paper investigates bending behaviour using numerical studies. Finite element (FE) validated against experimental results found literature three-point four-point loading tests both steel. elaborated used comprehensive parametric study that conducted comprising 60 simulations five different to response.
